Short Story: When Dreams Speak
She had a dream that felt too vivid to ignore. In it, she stood in a life that was everything she’d ever wanted—success, joy, purpose, and love radiating from every corner. When she woke up, the details were blurry, but something felt... different. Little pieces of her reality started resembling the fragments of her dream, like a puzzle slowly coming together.
At first, it didn’t make sense. The job rejections, the long nights filled with doubt, and the obstacles that seemed to block her every move didn’t feel like stepping stones. They felt like roadblocks. But deep inside, she knew the vision wasn’t just a fleeting fantasy—it was a whisper of what could be, if only she kept going.
Faith became her anchor. Whenever she questioned her path, she held onto the idea that every “no” was a redirection, every failure a lesson, and every obstacle an opportunity to grow stronger. She prayed for clarity, leaned into her faith, and reminded herself that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with hers.
Slowly, the pieces started fitting. A chance meeting turned into a new job. A hobby she’d nearly given up on became the passion that reignited her spirit. And the rejection that once broke her heart became the motivation to try again, harder and smarter. The dream she’d seen wasn’t just a figment of her imagination—it was a preview of what she could achieve if she persevered.
Her story is a reminder that life doesn’t hand us a completed picture. It gives us scattered pieces, sometimes confusing and overwhelming, and asks us to trust the process. Faith, perseverance, and the courage to keep going are what allow those pieces to fall into place, one by one.
And when the puzzle starts to form, you realize the dream wasn’t just a wish—it was a calling. Never stop piecing it together.
I am a BIG music lover. One track that I absolutely love and will give my props to for today’s blog is Closer by Goapele. An old favorite of mine, a golden classic I might add. Take a listen and vibe.
